Encroachment Permit

The use of any public right-of-way within the Town limits is strictly regulated to ensure public safety, accessibility, and proper maintenance of public infrastructure. No private signs, eaves, marquees, or similar structures may encroach upon the public right-of-way unless specifically authorized through an approved Encroachment Permit issued by the Town. All permits are revocable upon ten (10) days’ written notice to the permit holder.

The public right-of-way may not be used for private or commercial purposes, including but not limited to non-emergency vehicle servicing, parking, or the placement of portable advertising or promotional devices.

This section applies to the Encroachment Permit application process. Applicants must obtain approval prior to any use or encroachment within the public right-of-way.
