The park remains closed to all foot traffic. Lions Park is closed and will remain closed until further notice for everyone’s safety.
With the warm weather the ice has begun to collapse in areas leaving some very large voids and caverns. Please refrain from entering the park and I am sorry to say spelunking is not allowed. The Madison River has a nice channel opened and most of the water is flowing where it should.
Once mother nature cooperates and the ice is gone, the damage will be assessed and when it is safe to do so we will open the park for everyone to enjoy again.
