The entire park remains closed to all foot traffic. Lions Park is closed and will remain closed until further notice for everyone’s safety. The closure includes the entire park and the path on the west side of Lions Park.
With the warmer weather some of the ice has melted, revealing some of the damage to the park from the river. Unfortunately, until all the ice is gone and the entire extent of the damage can be surveyed Lions Park must remain closed.
We are anxious just like everyone else to open up the park, but we have to wait until mother nature provides us with enough warm days to melt the ice.
We will only post additional updates if something significant changes with Lions Park since we are now just waiting. Hopefully the Madison River and Mother Nature will continue to work with us to get the park open soon.
