The park remains closed to all foot traffic.
Lions Park is closed and will remain closed for everyone’s safety. A channel has opened on the Madison River and water is flowing on the river and no longer into the park. The water in the park has receded leaving 6 feet of ice in areas and voids under the ice which are extremely unstable. Please avoid the park for everyone’s safety.
Once the ice is gone and the damage has been assessed the park will reopen, the time frame of the park opening is up to “Mother Nature”. Have a happy Monday.
